Inner Stillness
The same way IMPACT begins. The nervous system needs to be in a parasympathetic state for the encoding to take. A reactive system cannot encode. Settle. A few breaths. Arrive in the body.

The Identity Encoding Protocol
Encoding the Future.
This is where the recognition becomes practice. The Foundation shows that the self you experience is constructed — and that when the biology loosens, you are free to choose differently. IEP™ is where you do the choosing: the deliberate encoding of a new identity, on purpose, rather than the one you inherited by default. It runs on the same prediction-processing architecture that makes IMPACT possible, with the same warmth as the load-bearing variable. Where IMPACT heals the present and Black Angel Awakening integrates the past, IEP encodes the future.
The walls the Foundation describes are built from prediction. The brain is not a passive recorder of experience; it is a prediction engine. It generates expectations of what will happen next, based on what has happened before, and these expectations shape what it perceives, attends to, and remembers.
The brain's attention and prediction systems orient incoming experience toward what matches the prediction. The default mode network constructs a self-narrative consistent with the prediction. The hippocampus encodes new memories that confirm the prediction. The whole system is a self-reinforcing loop that produces, moment by moment, the felt experience of being the kind of person you have been.
If this is how the system works, then changing the kind of person you are is not a matter of willpower, affirmation, or discipline. It is a matter of changing the prediction. And the prediction can be changed — through the same memory reconsolidation mechanism that allows IMPACT to update old patterns, pointed forward instead of backward.
IEP cannot be done well by a nervous system that is still defending its existing identity. If the threat system is active, if old patterns are still encoding the present moment as dangerous, then any new identity prediction will be rejected as unsafe. The body will resist what it does not yet recognize as itself.
This means IMPACT comes first. Not necessarily completely — no one ever finishes clearing — but enough that the nervous system has the room to receive a new prediction. The clearing creates the receptive ground. The encoding plants what grows there.
The practitioner moves through four elements in sequence, in regular practice, until the new prediction has taken hold.
The same way IMPACT begins. The nervous system needs to be in a parasympathetic state for the encoding to take. A reactive system cannot encode. Settle. A few breaths. Arrive in the body.
Bring to mind a specific future identity. Not a goal. Not an aspiration in the abstract. A felt sense of who you are choosing to become — the version of yourself you want to be in three years, in ten years, at the end of your life. This is not visualization in the conventional sense. It is embodied imagining. What does it feel like in the body to be this person? What does posture feel like? Breath? The quality of attention?
Bring warmth to the imagined identity, exactly as in IMPACT. The body holds the future self with warmth, the same way IMPACT holds a difficult present feeling with warmth. The warmth is what allows the encoding to be received as safe rather than as threat.
Stay with the felt experience long enough for it to register at the level of the body. Not just long enough to think about it — long enough that the nervous system has actually held the state. The hippocampus encodes what the body has been in, not what the mind has merely entertained.
The first element prepares the system. The second and third install the prediction. The fourth lets the prediction take.
The mechanism is the same prediction-processing architecture that makes IMPACT work, used in the forward direction. Three biological systems carry the encoding into behavior over time.
The brain's attention systems retune to the new prediction. What gets noticed, what gets weighted as significant, what the system orients toward — all begin to align with the future identity rather than the old one. Opportunities, evidence, and possibilities that were previously not registered become available. This is the experience practitioners describe as the world looking different after sustained encoding work. The world has not changed. What the body and brain are tuned to has.
The hippocampus encodes what the body has been in, not what the mind has merely entertained. When the future identity is held in the body under warmth for long enough, the encoding takes. New memories form around the new self-model. Those memories become the next round of training data for the prediction system, which reinforces further.
The default mode network's narrative of who you are begins to soften and reshape. The old story — this is the kind of person I have been — loses its automatic dominance. The new prediction is allowed to compete with it. Behavior follows attention. The experiences that flow from the new behavior reinforce the new prediction. The identity becomes self-confirming through the same loop that previously kept the old identity in place.
IEP is not manifestation. It is not the law of attraction. It is not the assertion that the universe will deliver what is imagined. The mechanism is biological, not metaphysical. What changes is the prediction the nervous system carries. What changes after that is behavior. What changes after that is the experiences that behavior produces. The loop is causal and ordinary. It moves through the body and the world, not around them.
This carefulness matters. Frameworks adjacent to this one overreach into magical claims and lose credibility with serious readers. IEP stays inside what biology can defend. The reader does not have to take anyone's word for it. They can do the practice and observe what happens.
A Bio-Build is what the protocol produces — a new identity, encoded and lived into the world through what you actually do. Bio-Build is the practice-facing home of Function Three: where IEP becomes something you build, hold, and grow into. It changes the reality you construct, perceive, and enact — through behavior, not wish. Same biology. Same warmth. Made usable.
Enter Bio-Build →The structured companion to both practices. Practice pages, prompts, and a container for sustained engagement across the two directions of the work — clearing what was, encoding what is becoming. The workbook is built around the relationship between the two functions, not either one in isolation.
Get the Workbook →The combined IMPACT and IEP workbook walks through both methods step by step — the biology, the practice, what to expect during a session, and how the practices fit together day to day. If you want to understand the work before you do it, start here.
Open the Reference Workbook →A guided seven-day journal for working with IEP in your own time. Daily prompts, a 30-day check-in, and a way to share what you find — if you'd like to.
Open the IEP Practice Journal →IMPACT clears the present. Black Angel Awakening clears what was sent away. IEP encodes what is becoming. Together they cover the full timeline of a single nervous system's relationship with itself — past, present, and future.
The remaining two functions extend the same mechanism beyond the individual. Impact Jr. brings it to children before the configurations form. The Collective Coherence Cascade carries it into the field around the practitioner. Five functions. One mechanism. One coordinated framework.
